Joy Chua, known as "Refrain" in the esports and gaming scene, is a Singaporean entrepreneur, project manager, and creative storyteller. She graduated with Distinction from Lasalle College of the Arts' Broadcast Media Diploma at the Puttnam School of Film and Animation and is currently pursuing her Communication Degree at Sunway University in the School of Arts.

Joy's work spans across industries such as gaming, corporate, and marketing. A former esports athlete with a knack for media production and art, she transitioned into a managing director, leveraging her leadership to drive organisational development.

At 21, Joy embarked on a mission to provide stepping stones for gaming and esports enthusiasts and founded Callais Esports, an esports and education organisation dedicated to breaking barriers in the gaming industry. Despite limited resources, she established a headquarters in Malaysia. By 24, she became a co-owner of NEXGA, an esports organisation aligned with her values, nurturing national-level esports talent.

Beyond esports, Joy has built marketing and creative agencies from the ground up. She is passionate about connecting with others and exploring new ventures. As a strong advocate for education, she volunteers by conducting workshops on marketing, career paths, and video production.
